Pebbles Cereal Holiday House Craft
This year the kids have enjoyed getting into the holiday spirit by creating fun and unique Christmas crafts. Gingerbread house making has been a tradition of ours since the boys were toddlers. We got our very first Gingerbread Christmas Tree kit when the boys were 2 & 3, and we have never looked back. We had fun every year choosing different gingerbread projects. We’ve made trains, houses, gingerbread men, and every other awesome kit we could purchase.

This year we decided we wanted to try out some different mediums for our holiday houses. First we created holiday houses out of old cards we had lying around. That was tons of fun, but the kids were a little disappointed that the houses couldn’t be enjoyed internally! After that, I decided that we had to make another house, but this time it needed to be edible. Since Fruity and Cocoa Pebbles have been family favorites for more than 40 years we decided to take the fun of Pebbles beyond the bowl. Oh, and the colors were perfect for our project!

Pebbles Cereal Holiday House Craft:

We started with a simple recipe:

Ingredients:
1 Box of Cocoa Pebbles
1 Box of Fruity Pebbles
1 Stick of Butter
2 Bags of Mini Marshmallows

How To Make A Pebbles Cereal Holiday House Craft

How To Make It:

  1. Melt 1/2 stick of butter in the microwave for 30-40 seconds.
  2. Add 1 bag of marshmallows to the melted butter and coat then heat in the microwave for another 1 1/2 – 2 minutes.
  3. Stir marshmallow fluff well and mix in with 1 box of cereal.
  4. Spread cereal out evenly over a non-stick baking pan.
  5. Allow to cool.
  6. Repeat steps with the second box of cereal.

After cooling our cereal we printed off this awesome template and cut out our house.

We also used a Gingerbread Man cookie cutter to make a few gingerbread men to decorate.

Using cookie icing we “glued” our house together and started decorating it with fun candies.

You can use any candies you like. We prefer to stick with the traditional gum drops, candy balls, and, of course, candy canes. I bought a kit for this craft, but you can use anything you like.

From Fruity to Cocoa to special limited editions, the various Pebbles cereals have eye-popping colors, delicious high-impact flavors, the loveable crunch of crispy rice and a pre-historic adventure in every box. The girls are now begging for Rainbow Sherbert Pebbles Houses so we will probably head back to the store next week to make those!
